Disc-top and flip-top caps are made for one-handed dispensing of pourable and squeezable products. On a disc-top, pressing one side of a small disc tilts it up and opens the orifice; on a flip-top, a hinged lid flicks open with the thumb. Both reseal positively, so the product does not leak in a bag or weep around the cap between uses.
They are the everyday closures of the bathroom and kitchen, giving controlled, mess-free flow without the cost or priming of a pump.
We supply dispensing caps for shampoo and conditioner, body wash and shower gel, lotions and creams, liquid soap, hand sanitizer and gels, hair-styling products and travel toiletries. In food, flip-tops close sauces, dressings, honey and syrups. Glass bottles with a flip-top cap are increasingly chosen by refill and plastic-reduction brands that want a durable pack without giving up one-hand convenience.
Caps are molded in PP or PE. Flip-tops use a living hinge molded in one piece with the body, or a two-shot (bi-injection) construction for contrasting lid colors; disc-tops assemble a pivoting disc into the base. The orifice is closed by a plug or spout seal, and its size is chosen for the product — wider for thick lotions and sauces, narrower for thin liquids. Tamper-evident bands are available on most sizes.
Match the cap thread to the bottle finish and apply at controlled torque, so the base seals on the bottle land and the disc or lid still operates freely. Ship with lids closed and, for long transit or e-commerce, consider an induction seal under the cap. Hinges should snap shut with a positive click after repeated use. Send us your product viscosity and we’ll suggest an orifice size and sample a few options.
Flip-tops are injection-molded with the hinge formed in the tool; disc-tops are molded and assembled. Hinge durability, plug fit and orifice consistency are our key quality checks. Stock caps come in white, black and natural; custom colors are molded in, and hot stamping, metallization and printing are applied afterward. Caps are bulk-bagged in cartons and matched to the bottle finish you order.
