OEM/ODM Process

Glass Packaging Projects Managed From Brief to Export Release

A successful OEM or ODM order is controlled by project gates, not by a single quote. The development approach, sample standard, production checklist and export packing plan must be clear before bulk glass packaging moves into production.

Option Selection

OEM and ODM Need Different Control Points

The first decision is not the bottle price. It is whether the project is driven by an existing specification or needs supplier-side development. That choice changes samples, tooling, file preparation, approval timing and risk.

OEM Option

Buyer-led specification

Best when you already have a bottle drawing, sample, artwork, closure requirement or approved retail package.

We convert your specification into sourcing, sampling, production and inspection controls.
Specification check Artwork proof Approved sample Bulk repeatability

ODM Option

Supplier-supported development

Best when the product direction is clear but the bottle structure, closure system, finish or packing plan still needs development.

We recommend container families, customization options, sample plans and production standards.

Project Gates

Eight Steps From Inquiry to Export Release

Each step has a buyer input and a Glasspacksupply output. This keeps quotation, sampling, production and shipment aligned instead of letting decisions move by email fragments.

01

Brief Intake

Buyer input
Product type, target capacity, use case, market, order target and launch timing.
Our output
Project brief with missing items marked before quotation starts.
02

Feasibility Check

Buyer input
Reference bottle, drawing, artwork, cap preference or target shelf style.
Our output
OEM, ODM, stock-modified or new-mold option with risk notes.
03

Cost & Schedule

Buyer input
MOQ target, sample deadline, decoration needs and shipment destination.
Our output
Quote basis, estimated tooling/sample/bulk timing and cost drivers.
04

Technical Files

Buyer input
Logo vector files, label size, box direction, compliance marks and carton requirements.
Our output
Artwork proof, bottle spec, closure list, packing method and inspection points.
05

Sample Approval

Buyer input
Appearance feedback, closure compatibility, fill-test feedback and final comments.
Our output
Approved sample standard for bottle, closure, finish, label and carton.
06

Pre-Production Setup

Buyer input
Deposit, final quantities, shipping marks and order split requirements.
Our output
Production instruction, material plan, decoration setup and QC checklist.
07

Bulk Production

Buyer input
Approval standard remains unchanged unless a formal change is confirmed.
Our output
Glass forming, closure matching, decoration, packing and in-process checks.
08

Inspection & Export

Buyer input
Final shipping method, forwarder details and destination document needs.
Our output
Final inspection, carton/pallet packing, loading photos and export document support.

Quality Gates

Approval Standards Are Set Before Bulk Production

Glass packaging has many small variables: weight, neck finish, decoration position, closure fit, carton spacing and transport pressure. The process page should make these control gates visible before a buyer places a bulk order.

Structure Gate

Capacity, weight, neck finish, wall distribution, base stability and carton fit are confirmed before decoration.

Closure Gate

Caps, pumps, sprayers, droppers, lids, liners and seals are checked for fit, torque, leakage and user handling.

Appearance Gate

Glass color, decoration position, print color, label alignment and finish tolerance are locked against the approved sample.

Packing Gate

Inner dividers, carton strength, pallet plan, marks and loading method are checked before export release.

Risk Control

Common OEM/ODM Problems We Control Early

The process is designed to prevent avoidable changes after sampling. Most delays come from unclear specifications, untested closures, decoration assumptions or packing decisions made too late.

Quotation drift

Lock the specification basis before comparing prices.

Sample mismatch

Record bottle, finish, closure and packing as one approved standard.

Closure leakage

Check neck finish, liner, torque and fill-product behavior together.

Decoration variance

Confirm print area, color tolerance and handling durability before bulk.

Export breakage

Define divider, carton, pallet and loading method before production ends.

Timeline pressure

Separate stock-container projects from mold or heavy decoration projects.

Export Release

Bulk Orders End With Packing Control, Not Only Finished Bottles

Glass packaging needs export planning before cartons are sealed. Packing decisions protect the approved product, reduce breakage risk and keep the shipment traceable.

Carton Engineering

Inner grids, inserts and carton wall strength are selected according to bottle weight, decoration risk and shipment distance.

Pallet Protection

Corner guards, stretch wrap, straps and pallet stacking rules reduce pressure and movement during international transport.

Document Support

Packing list, carton marks, loading references and export document preparation are aligned with the buyer's forwarder.
