An iridescent or holographic coating scatters light into shifting rainbow colors that change with the angle, turning a plain candle cup into a shimmering, eye-catching object. With a candle inside, the flame animates the effect; on the shelf, the cup sells itself on appearance.
It is decoration aimed squarely at novelty, gift and trend-driven ranges, where standing out and looking shareable matter more than a classic, restrained look.

A candle cup with an iridescent or holographic coating applied over flint or tinted glass and cured. The coating is on the outside and does not contact the wax. The open mouth is sized for the wax and wick; flint underneath gives the brightest light play.
Pour wax warm into a room-temperature cup. The decorative coating is external; it should be protected from scuffing and checked for even coverage, and high heat near the rim should be avoided by correct wicking so the coating is not affected at the top. Standard candle-safety wicking and surface-temperature limits apply.
Press-and-blow formed and annealed, then the iridescent/holographic coating is applied and cured in a decorating lehr. Print or foil is added as needed. Coating evenness and adhesion, base stability and rim quality are the QC checks.
