Fragrance is almost impossible to sell without letting people smell it, so sampling is central to the category, and a miniature spray or dab vial is how brands get a wearable trial into a customer’s hands. The small glass vial is a faithful miniature of the real product — same juice, scaled-down bottle — rather than a paper strip.
Discovery sets built from these vials have become a sales channel in their own right, especially for niche fragrance bought online.
These vials are used for fragrance samples and discovery sets, travel and purse sprays, subscription perfume, niche fragrance sampling, promotional magazine and e-commerce inserts, wedding and event favors, and tester programs. Fragrance houses, contract fillers, decant businesses and subscription boxes are the main buyers. The format makes trial affordable and portable, and an attractive set can be sold at retail as a product in its own right.
A tiny glass body carries either a small crimp neck (FEA 11 or FEA 13) for a micro spray pump, or a dab or screw neck for a wand applicator and cap. The decorated area is limited, so branding is concise — a printed name, a color band or a small label. Sets are mounted on printed cards or in trays, and we can supply holders and boxes to complete a discovery kit.
Vials are filled cold on high-count lines; with spray versions the micro pump is crimped on after filling, and crimp quality sets the seal and spray. Fill accuracy matters at 1–2 ml, where small variations are easy to see, so filling equipment should be set up for small volumes. Alcohol-based fragrance is compatible with glass and standard micro-pump components. We’ll supply samples so you can check fill accuracy on your own equipment.
Small vials are usually formed from glass tubing on converting machines, or molded by NNPB, for tight dimensional control at small sizes. The crimp or screw neck is gauged so the micro pump or cap seals. We decorate by screen printing, labels and shrink sleeves, and can supply custom card mounts, trays and gift boxes so vials arrive ready to assemble into discovery sets.
