Classic colognes and aftershaves carry a barbershop and apothecary heritage, and the faceted octagonal bottle is a long-standing expression of it. The eight panels feel traditional and masculine and recall the cut-glass flacons of old grooming counters.
Its flat facets are practical too, giving stable panels for an embossed crest, a wax-seal-style label or classic typography. We supply it with either a spray neck or a splash neck, so one shape can serve both application styles.
Typical fills are cologne and eau de cologne, aftershave splash, men’s fragrance, and beard and hair tonics. The bottle suits barbershop and grooming ranges, heritage or revival brands, apothecary-style fragrance and men’s gift sets. Amber and green glass add to the vintage character, while flint keeps the look crisp for modern colognes. Sizes run from 50 ml for gift sets to 200 ml for barbershop back-bar use.
The octagonal faceted body is made with either an FEA 15 crimp neck for a spray pump or an 18 mm screw neck that takes a reducer and cap for traditional splash-on application. Flat facets carry embossing and labels, and corner radii manage strength at the facet edges. Flint, amber and green glass suit different heritage looks, and overcaps can be metal, wood or classic black.
Bottles are filled cold. Spray versions have the pump crimped on after filling; splash versions take a pressed-in reducer and a screw cap. Alcohol-based cologne is compatible with glass and standard fitments, and the reducer aperture can be sized to give a controlled splash. The faceted corners are the impact-sensitive points, so handling and packing protect them. Tell us your application style and we’ll supply matched closure samples.
The octagonal bottle is formed by blow-and-blow with the facets defined in the blow mold and an even wall at the corners as the target. It is annealed and surface-coated; spray necks are gauged for the crimp pump, splash necks for the reducer and cap. We can add an embossed crest in the mold, plus screen printing, foil stamping and labels, and source matching overcaps.
