Luxury skincare faces a tension: customers love heavy, beautiful jars, but those jars are wasteful to throw away after one fill. The refillable double-glass jar resolves it. A substantial decorative outer jar stays with the customer, while the product sits in a lighter inner glass cup that clicks in and is replaced by an affordable, low-packaging refill.
It keeps the weight, ritual and shelf presence of a luxury jar while cutting the material used per refill.
Typical fills are face and eye creams, anti-aging creams, body treatments and other premium skincare sold first as a full unit, then as refill cups. The format suits refillable luxury and low-waste lines, spa and clinic ranges, men’s premium skincare, and gift or starter sets that introduce a refill program. Retailers and subscription services use it to build repeat purchase around the refill cup.
A heavy decorative outer jar with a wide mouth holds a replaceable inner glass cup that snaps into place. The product is in the inner cup, sealed with an inner disc, and the outer screw cap secures everything. The outer jar is the durable, decorated component; the inner cup is lighter and made to be swapped. Frosting, spray coating and metallized caps complete the luxury finish.
The inner cup is filled cold or warm and sealed with its disc, then snapped into the outer jar for the first purchase or sold alone as a refill. Fit between cup and outer jar must be consistent so refills click in securely and are easy for the customer to change. Cup, disc and cap materials should suit the formula. We supply complete units and loose refill cups as samples so you can test the swap.
Both the outer jar and the inner cup are press-and-blow formed to matching fitment dimensions, and the outer jar is then decorated. The snap fit between inner and outer is the critical tolerance and is checked on assembly, along with sealing-rim quality on the inner cup. We offer frosting, spray coating, hot stamping and metallized or weighted caps, plus separate gift and refill cartons.
