Ribbed and Embossed Glass Candle Cups

A candle is as much about the light it casts as the scent it throws, and ribbed or embossed glass turns that light into a feature. The relief refracts the flame and throws moving patterns onto nearby surfaces, giving even a small candle a richer, more atmospheric glow.

Because the pattern is molded into the glass, it adds no per-unit decoration cost after tooling, lasts the life of the cup and doubles as a grip.

These cups are widely used for votives and tealights, small poured container candles, spa and relaxation lines, and wedding, event and seasonal programs. Hospitality buyers use them for table lighting, and gift brands like them for sets of three or four. End customers frequently keep and reuse them as small holders, which makes the pattern a lasting part of your brand presentation.

The cup combines vertical ribs with an embossed decorative band above a solid base. Relief changes the wall thickness slightly, so tooling is designed to keep the wall sound where the pattern is deepest. Flint glass shows the light play best; frosting or spray color adds diffusion or a seasonal tone without hiding the texture. A thick, flat base keeps the small cup steady on a table or tray.

Pour wax warm into cups held at room temperature to avoid thermal shock. In a small vessel the flame sits close to the wall, so choose a wick that keeps the melt pool controlled and the patterned wall from overheating. For tealight programs, check that the insert sits flat and centered. Advise end users to burn on a heat-safe surface and trim the wick before each use.

Cups are press-and-blow formed in a patterned mold and annealed. Our quality checks focus on wall thickness through the relief, base stability and a clean rim.
