Screw-thread Molded Pharma Vials

Not every pharmaceutical vial needs a crimped rubber seal. Where a product is solid, or is a sample or diagnostic component that will simply be opened and closed, a screw-thread molded vial is the practical choice — a robust molded glass body with a standard threaded neck that takes an ordinary screw cap.

The molded construction gives a sturdy wall and stable base, and the standard thread finishes (such as 15-425 or 24-400) interchange with widely available caps and liners, making the vial easy to source and seal for a range of uses.

Small counts of tablets and capsules, powders and APIs, diagnostic and sample vials, liquid and solvent samples, reagent and kit components, clinical-trial supplies, compounding pharmacy and veterinary products.

A molded glass vial in Type I borosilicate or Type III soda-lime, clear or amber, with a standard screw-thread finish (such as 13-425, 15-425, 18-400 or 24-400) for a PP screw cap with a PTFE/PE or induction liner. Child-resistant caps are available. The molded body is robust with a stable base.

Match glass type to the contents — Type I for sensitive products, Type III for many samples and solids — and confirm cap and liner compatibility, using an induction seal for moisture-sensitive or leak-critical products. The standard thread makes capping straightforward; torque is controlled for a consistent seal. Autoclavable grades suit products needing sterilization.

Molded by press-and-blow from pharmaceutical glass with the screw-thread finish, then annealed. Produced and inspected to pharmaceutical standards for glass type, dimensions and defects; the thread is controlled so standard caps seat and seal. Amber comes from batch chemistry.
