The narrow-mouth reagent bottle is the standard vessel for storing and dispensing laboratory liquids. The narrow neck gives a controlled, low-drip pour and exposes less of the contents to air than a wide mouth, which cuts evaporation and contamination, an important point for solvents and solutions that must stay pure.
Like the wide-mouth version, it closes with a matched ground-glass stopper or a screw cap, and we offer it in clear glass or amber.
Labs use narrow-mouth bottles for liquid reagents and working solutions, solvents, acids and bases, titrants and standard solutions, and, in amber, for light-sensitive liquids such as silver nitrate or iodine solutions. They are a fixture in chemical stockrooms and dispensing areas, on teaching-lab reagent shelves and in industrial QC labs, where one consistent bottle format keeps labeling and storage orderly across the bench.
Bodies are made in borosilicate 3.3 or laboratory soda-lime glass. Stoppered bottles have a ground-glass neck matched to a glass stopper; screw versions take a polypropylene cap with a PTFE or PE liner for solvent and acid resistance. Rounded shoulders add strength and give a smooth pour, and a marking spot takes labels. Amber glass protects light-sensitive contents. As storage bottles, they carry no volume scale.
Ground stoppers and necks are matched, so keep each pair together. Alkaline solutions such as sodium hydroxide can seize a ground joint over time; for these, a screw cap or plastic stopper is usually the better choice. Use borosilicate and PTFE-lined caps for aggressive solvents and acids, and amber bottles for light-sensitive liquids. These bottles store and pour; for measured volumes, use a graduated cylinder or volumetric flask.
We form the bottles from borosilicate 3.3 or laboratory soda-lime glass, grind stoppered necks to a matched fit and anneal every piece. Amber color comes from the glass batch. We can add printed labels or graduations, supply color-coded caps, fit dispensing caps on the GL thread, and pack in counts for stockroom or kit distribution.
