Overview & background
The narrow-mouth reagent bottle is the standard vessel for storing and dispensing laboratory liquids. The narrow neck gives a controlled, drip-limited pour and exposes less of the contents to air than a wide mouth, which reduces evaporation and contamination — important for solvents and solutions that must stay pure.
Like its wide-mouth sibling it uses a matched ground-glass stopper or a screw cap, and is offered in amber for light-sensitive liquids.
