The swing-top, made famous by Dutch beer, uses a hinged wire bail to lever a gasketed stopper down onto the bottle mouth. The result is a tight, reusable seal that opens and closes by hand without a tool, which is exactly what naturally carbonated drinks need.
Its reusability and old-world look have made it the signature bottle of kombucha and home fermentation, and a favorite for refill and zero-waste programs.
We supply swing-top bottles for kombucha, water and milk kefir, homebrew and craft beer, craft sodas, tonics, ginger beer and cold brew coffee. They suit any drink that is carbonated or still fermenting and needs a closure the customer can open and reseal. Retail brands, taprooms and homebrew suppliers buy the same bottle in different sizes, from 250 ml single serves to 1-liter sharing bottles.
The neck carries molded lugs that anchor a stainless wire bail. The bail levers a ceramic or plastic stopper, fitted with a replaceable rubber or silicone gasket, onto a flat sealing rim. Seal quality depends on rim flatness and gasket condition, so both are controlled in production. Flint shows off the drink’s color and clarity, while amber gives more protection to light-sensitive ferments.
Fermented drinks keep building pressure as they carbonate, so leave adequate headspace and control secondary fermentation in your process rather than relying on the consumer. Over-carbonated bottles can fail. Gaskets wear and should be replaced periodically; fit them clean and flat for a reliable seal.

The bottle is formed by blow-and-blow or NNPB with the lug finish molded in, and the sealing rim is finished flat to mate with the gasket. We supply bottles with the bail and stopper assembled or as separate components for your own fitting line.
Custom options include printed or embossed logos, colored stoppers and silicone gaskets for longer service life.
