Because the form is bespoke, the neck, finish and base are engineered around the shape — the closure is often integrated into a feature like a hilt or muzzle, and a display stand may be supplied so an awkward shape can stand. Decoration ranges from embossing and spraying to hand-applied detail.
Spirits fill cold; the practical challenges are the unusual shape's effect on filling, labeling and packing, all planned in advance. Slim or protruding features are fragile and need careful line guarding and foam-located protective packing. Local rules on weapon-themed packaging should be checked for the destination market.
Formed by blow-and-blow in a custom mold; complex figural forms demand careful glass distribution and sometimes additional forming steps. Annealing is critical on uneven thick-and-thin shapes, and finishes are gauged for the closure. Custom tooling drives the lead time.
