Mask Jars with Integrated Spoon Slot

Dipping fingers into a jar of mask or cream introduces bacteria and water that can spoil the product, so more brands pair a wide-mouth jar with a spoon or spatula. Giving that tool a dedicated slot means it is never lost and the hygienic way to use the product is always at hand.

It is a small design idea with a real benefit: cleaner product, longer in-use life and a more considered, spa-like ritual for the customer.

Typical fills are clay and mud masks, wash-off and cream masks, exfoliating scrubs, treatment balms, and foot and hand masks — any skincare where finger-free application matters. The wide-mouth glass jar is paired with a slot or holder that keeps a spoon or spatula with the pack; depending on the model, the slot is molded into the jar body or built into the cap. An inner sealing disc sits on the product under a screw cap. Spoons and spatulas are available in plastic, metal or wood. Frosted and opal-white finishes suit the premium spa look.

Jars are filled cold with the inner disc seated on the product, and the spoon is located in its slot before packing. Clay and acid masks in particular can react with some materials, so cap, liner and spoon materials should suit the formula. A clean sealing rim ensures the inner disc and cap seal properly.
